Famine in Gaza Has Reached Record Levels

Civil society organizations in the Gaza Strip have stated that the famine has reached record levels, requiring a clear declaration from Arab countries and the international community to break the siege on Gaza and fully open the crossings without Israeli restrictions.

In a statement, the organizations emphasized that what is needed is the immediate entry of thousands of aid trucks piled up at the Gaza crossings, with a clear decision to allow them all in at once.

They added that allowing only a few dozen trucks under a "drip-feed" policy will not provide the population with food security. As a result, hundreds of thousands of starving people are crowding the truck routes, leading to chaos that seems to serve the interests of the occupation.

They clarified that recovery from the effects of the famine requires continuous aid entry for at least three months, with no fewer than 600 trucks entering daily without Israeli restrictions.
