World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus announced that more than 15,000 Palestinians require medical evacuation to receive specialized treatment.

Ghebreyesus stated: “Over 15,600 patients, including 3,800 children, are still in need of specialized care.”

He urged for an increase in medical evacuations from Gaza to more countries, as well as facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid to save lives and provide life-saving treatment, while once again reiterating his call for a ceasefire in Gaza.
