The Director of Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza, Dr. Mohammed Abu Salmiya, said: “We are facing a catastrophic situation, with 320,000 children having entered a state of acute malnutrition.”

Abu Salmiya explained that all wounded patients in hospitals are also suffering from malnutrition, which poses a major challenge, as each patient requires a long treatment period to recover from its effects.

According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, the total number of victims of famine and malnutrition has risen to 273 martyrs, including 112 children.
