Israel’s public broadcaster revealed the formation of a small ministerial team tasked with implementing the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
According to the broadcaster, Gideon Sa’ar, Itamar Ben-Gvir, and Bezalel Smotrich are among the officials appointed to oversee the implementation of the second phase of the ceasefire. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that his government has not yet completed the first phase of the agreement related to the Gaza Strip, noting that moving to the next phase depends on the recovery of the remaining three bodies of captives held in the Strip.
Netanyahu added that Israel has agreed to reopen the Rafah crossing, but this will only happen after all captives and withheld bodies are returned.
