U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip “will begin soon.”
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu renewed his accusation that Hamas is responsible for obstructing the implementation of the agreement, noting that the second phase aims to disarm the movement and “make Gaza weapon-free,” stressing that Hamas cannot remain in Gaza.
For its part, Hamas accused Netanyahu of evading the commitments of the agreement, calling on the mediators and guarantor states to “restrain the occupation and stop targeting civilians.”
