Khalil Al-Hayya, member in Hamas’ Political Bureau, said during the national meeting titled ‘Developments in the Palestinian Scene’ it was important to achieve national unity that is based on partnership to launch the biggest joint work against the Israeli occupation. He also described betting on the US administrations and negotiations as a doomed bet that hits the partnership project hard. Al-Hayya pointed to the fact that the PA is being lured to join normalization in the region and to reshuffle the cards to serve the interests of the USA and the occupation through resuming civil and security coordination with the occupation. He stressed that coordination strikes national partnership and work in the heart. However, the factions have not given up on reconciliation yet. Al-Hayya said it was imperative to hold the elections simultaneously (the National Council, the Legislative Council and the Presidential elections). This was Hamas’ proposition to Fatah in Cairo, which also pledged not to hinder the elections and to participate in what best fits.
