The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs condemned the repeated closures of the gates of the Ibrahimi Mosque by Israeli occupation forces, sometimes multiple times a day, preventing worshippers from entering, while the occupation allows settlers access to the mosque.

The ministry denounced the targeting of the mosque staff and the restrictions imposed on them while performing their duties, obstructing their daily work in an attempt to weaken their role and exert pressure on them. It affirmed that these practices constitute a direct assault on the authorities of the Awqaf and a clear violation of international laws and conventions.

The Ministry emphasized that these arbitrary measures are part of a systematic policy aimed at restricting worshippers’ access to the mosque and imposing a new reality on the holy site.
