A meeting is being held today in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, between Nikolay Mladenov, Director General of the “Peace Council” concerned with the Gaza Strip, and members of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza.

The meeting comes as part of discussions on several key issues, most notably the Rafah Crossing, its operational mechanism and management, as well as arrangements for an anticipated visit by a number of members of the National Committee to the Gaza Strip in the coming period. The talks also aim to strengthen mechanisms for joint action to address the humanitarian and administrative challenges in Gaza.

According to sources, the meeting is expected to result in clear frameworks and proposals for improving living conditions in the Gaza Strip.
