Channel 11 said that the Israeli occupation government approved 4 new settlement projects in the occupied West Bank, and announced approving the construction of 9,000 settlement units and settlements (Atarot) in north occupied Al-Quds. The government also said that thousands of units will be established on 600 donums of Al-Quds airport in Qalandia, which were taken over by the occupation in early seventies. The expansion project was already planned for years ago. It was frozen several times due to international and political pressure that rejects settlement in the occupied lands of 1967. Al-Quds airport is the oldest in Palestine. It was established in 1920 during the British occupation and was closed down when the Second Intifada broke out in 2000.
