Kamal Al-Shakhra, spokesperson at MoH in Ramallah, said to Palestine TV that Palestine is heading to a health crisis as the Coronavirus infections and deaths increased.
Al-Shakhra also said that the numbers are rising to 2000 – 3000 cases because the people are ignoring the protective measures.
80% of the governorates are witnessing an increase in infections. Al-Shakhra added that the death rate is expected to increase to 40-50 deaths on a daily basis.
There are currently 140 patients in the hospitals on oxygen or under care, which has not happened since the beginning of the pandemic.
There is a shortage in beds as Al-Shakhra stressed. He also said that Palestine is heading to a health crisis if the situation continues the same and advised the people to be more aware of the seriousness of the situation.
