Settlers’ Trust in Army Drops

The Israel Democracy Institute said in its annual report that the public’s trust in the Israeli occupation army has dropped to the lowest level in the past 10 years; i.e. from 90% to 81%.

The report also showed that the Coronavirus crisis led to further disconnect the community, showing only 17% of connectedness.

37% of the participants believed that the economic conditions were good, and as for their trust in the president it dropped from 71% to 56%. The settlers’ trust in the judiciary institutes also dropped from 52% to 42% and in the police to 41%.

According to the report, the government and the political parties were the least trusted by the settlers with only 25% trust in the government, 21% in the Knesset (which used to be 32%) and 14% in the political parties.

84.5% of the Jewish community feels a sense of belonging to the entity while the Arab community’s dropped to 44%. The report also showed that 58% of the settlers believe that the entity’s leadership is corrupt.
