Occupation Tortures Palestinian Boy with Electricity

Jan 30, 2021 03:05 pm

Haaretz newspaper published a report about the occupation’s police  firing a taser gun at a thirteen-year-old boy while arresting him from his home in the occupied Al-Quds.

The father of the boy (M) described the police’ break-in at night, “We were asleep when we heard a huge blast. I looked around I saw five to six officers hitting the children and electrifying them. One of them also electrified me in the head and hit me on the teeth. My brother came from the house next door to see what was happening and they threw him on the ground with a taser as well”.

The child ‘M’ told the newspaper that he was thrown to the ground along with his brother and they were beaten and cuffed. “They took me barefoot so I carried my shoes with me. I told the police I wanted to wear my shoes, but they slapped me and folded my eyes”.

The child ‘M’ said that he was detained handcuffed behind his back for three hours at the police station. He was on his knees, and whenever he fell to the ground feeling tired a police officer would kick him with his foot. He was then taken for interrogation, accused of throwing stones.

He was informed that they preferred keeping him in the interrogation without his father to ensure the interrogation went without interruptions although the law of arresting minors dictates having a family member present unless in rare cases.

He was released after 12 hours, but his eighteen-year-old brother is still in custody.
