Yacoub Aweis, Chairman of Al-Lubban Village Council, said that a number of citizens were injured during confrontations with settlers in the eastern Al-Lubban town, south of Nablus in the north of the occupied West Bank.
He added that the citizen Muhammad Daraghma, 50, was injured as a result of settlers throwing him from a high wall, while others got bruised after a hand-fight with settlers who had tried to break into the historic Khan Al-Lubban before the occupation’s forces intervened to protect the settlers.
Ghassan Daghlas, an official who monitors settlement activities in the northern West Bank, said that the construction work of settlements was in Iraq Miladi area, which was bulldozed last month, in the north of Einabus village in Nablus. The lands there are owned by the two female Palestinian citizens Aisha and Safia Ziada.
Daghlas pointed out that the dredging work was meant to expand the boundaries of Yitzahar settlement, which is established on the lands of six villages in south Nablus.
