Arrests, Confrontations in West Bank

The occupation forces arrested 23 citizens in the West Bank after raiding and searching homes of Palestinians including the homes of some freed prisoners and a Hamas leader.

The forces arrested Jamal Al-Tawil, leader in Hamas, after searching his home, and took him to an unknown destination. Al-Tawil was released two weeks ago after spending one year in administrative detention.  

In Jenin, the forces arrested 11 citizens, including the two freed prisoners Ibrahim Badad and Mohamed Shrem. In Jalazon camp, the soldiers arrested 7 citizens including the four freed prisoners Bajus Nakhla, 57; his son Ma’aroof Nakhla, 31; Eyed Safi, 49 and father of the young prisoner Mohammad Safi; and Maher Dalayesha, 46, who was assaulted before being arrested.

The occupation forces raided the camp and fired bullets, sound bombs and teargas at the citizens, which resulted in confrontations. The soldiers assaulted a number of citizens, and smashed the doors of several homes.

In Bethlehem, the occupation forces arrested two citizens and the freed prisoner Marwan Bisharat from Tammun, south of Tubas, and arrested Makroom Al-Jaabari after raiding and searching his house.
