Local sources said that the Israeli occupation forces seized 13 donums of lands in Hizma town, east of Al-Quds, to pave a new 1km-long and 16m-wide street.
Haaretz newspaper reported that the occupation's government also approved through local planning and building committee the building of more than 2,000 settlement units, 540 units in Har Homa settlement and 2,000 units in Givat HaMatos settlement near Beit Safafa, east of the occupied Al-Quds.
The new settlements aimed to narrow Beit Safafa town and prevent the division of Al-Quds in any future political solution.
Since the beginning of 2021, the occupation's municipality in Al-Quds started accelerating the demolition of Palestinian homes in conjunction with accelerating dozens of settlement projects in the north and south of Al-Quds.
