In March, 2020, PALM Strategic Initiatives Centre in cooperation with Sama Youth Centre held a seminar titled ‘the Malaysian Experience’ in Beit Lahia.

In the seminar, Dr. Ibrahim AlAzaeem, Director of PALM Strategic Initiatives Centre, led the discussion on the successful experience of Malaysia. The attendants included the mayor of Beit Lahia; Mosheer Al-Masri, member in the Legislative Council; Mr. Mohammed Nadir Al-Nuri, Director of Wisma Gaza-Malaysia; and other activists interested in Malaysia.

Al-Zaeem talked about the Malaysian renaissance, and Malaysia’s interest in education and scientific research. He also highlighted the importance of making use of the Malaysian experience in improving the industrial, technological and scientific sectors in Palestine.

The seminar lasted for 4 hours during which several constructive discussions were made in order to further understand the reality of the Malaysian people and means to apply it in Palestine.
