FIVE Prisoners on Hunger Strike to Support Other Prisoners

The Prisoner's Club stated that 5 Palestinians started a hunger strike in solidarity with 8 others who have been on a strike against the administrative detention policy. The total number of prisoners on strike rose to 13 in Negev, Rimon and Ofer prisons.

The Club said that the four prisoners  Mohammed Al-Zaghir,  Muntaser Billah Abu Azoum, Moayyad Al-Khatib and  Nidal Khalaf suspended their strike.

Prisoner Al-Zaghir received a court order to have his detention ended on October 13, 2021. An agreement was also concluded with the prisoners Abu Azoum and Khalaf regarding determining a certain duration for their detention.

Prisoner Al-Khatib suspended his strike after his health condition became seriously critical. He was transferred to Rimon prison clinic. He lost a lot of weight and suffered from internal bleeding in the stomach to the extent that he vomited blood.
