In a joint statement, some European diplomats confirmed their opposition of the Israeli occupation's settlement policy while visiting Beita villaege in Nablus.
The visitors were a group of diplomatic missionaries' presidents and representatives, and came from Belgium, Denmark, EU, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Holland, Norway, Slovenia, Sweden, and the UK. Ireland also declared having the same position of these countries as well.
The representatives said that the entity, being an occupation, must protect the Palestinian citizens and their properties, and the settlers and other officials must be held accountable for their crimes against the Palestinians after a comprehensive investigation.
The Foreign Commonwealth and Development Department posted on its official website that the visit took place due to the increasing concerns across the West Bank in general and Beit in particular because of the settlers' violence and the protection offered to them by the occupation.
