PM Naftali Bennet, said in an interview with the website of Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, that his role is to keep the Israeli people safe and undermine the power and abilities of Hamas in Gaza.
Bennet opposed the establishment of the Palestinian State and refused to meet the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas for which he filed a lawsuit against Israeli leaders in the International Court of Justice.
During the interviews, he talked about the possibility of an escalation with the Gaza strip and added that this depends on Hamas.
He also said that Benny Gantz, the occupation's minister of defense, and Qatar received the mission of settlement in Gaza to avoid any military operations in the strip.
He also confirmed that the completion of the prisoners' swap deal depends on the available circumstances, yet he refuses to pressurize the occupation to release the so-called 'bloody-handed' Palestinian detainees.
