Israeli Occupation and the Search for its Lost Legitimacy

The Israeli occupation's government is going through a notable diplomatic movement on different levels. After Yair Lapid, the Israeli occupation's foreign minister, visited the United States last Tuesday, the occupation's government announced that PM Neftali Bennett will leave 'Israel' on the 22nd of October to meet Russia's President Vladimir Putin.

Lapid's visit to the United States was summarized by various meetings with officials of the US administration. Mainly, Kamala Harris; vice president of the US, Jake Sullivan; the national security advisor of the US, Nancy Pelosi; the chief of the US House of Representatives, and other leaders of the Democratic Party. Thus, the meetings aimed at mobilizing the Democratic Party's support in favor of the Iron Dome defense system of the occupation, and building a decisive strategy against Iran.

Those goals appeared in the mutual meeting between the Israeli occupation's foreign minister and his American counterpart, who was too strict in his speech against Iran and stressed the possibility of finding other options in case Iran did not change its path. Moreover, he said that the diplomatic technique is not absolute; it might reach an end. Hence, that encouraged Lapid to state that 'Israel' has the right to react in any way and at any time.

Such statements seem to be superficial and naïve as long as they are not controlled by determinants of acceptance and rejection towards Iran's method of negotiation. Apparently, the United States is in need to calm the situations in the Gulf as it is engaged in issues that, in its point of view, are more important. Thus, this appears like the United States gives 'Israel' painkiller injections that satisfy and silence it.

The leaders of the Israeli occupation realize that America's policy has returned to its old, traditional form after Trump's extraordinary term had ended. The US administration surpasses Israel's dreams and desires; Israel sees nothing but its interests in more expansion and dominance. Thus, the Israeli occupation pursues to inflame a state of competition for a diplomatic, military, and political complementarity, and form the widest network that can support the occupation's goals and expectations.

Even though those goals might seem like the most important, they intersect with other goals that appear in the theatre of the Israeli political and party conflict. PM Neftali Bennett benefits from those efforts to present himself as a stronger alternative than his predecessor Benjamin Netanyahu in the Israeli political field. He also searches in the depth of any visits and actions for achievements to carry with him in the upcoming elections. Furthermore, Yair Lapid does not hide his need to reach the office of the Presidency with effective, distinguished relations.

The Israeli leaders do not neglect the achievements Netanyahu did on the level of the normalization of relations. However, the new leaders in the occupation's government seek to empower their position through competition and exerting efforts to build news relations and launch airlines between the Israeli occupation and the normalizing states such as UAE, Bahrain, Egypt, and Morocco. Moreover, besides Lapid's last visit to the UAE, during which he held a tripartite summit, the occupation leaders pursue to release statements regarding their intention to sign new agreements of normalization with new Arab countries.

The Israeli leaders' feelings of inadequacy and lost legitimacy are not separated nor exceptional feelings. They are a state the Israeli occupation entity with its all components live amid the illogical and illegal state of association to this land where they live in. Those genes have become a part of the mental and intellectual composition of the occupation.
