The Israeli occupation forces have launched a campaign of arrests and break-ins against several Palestinian cities and villages, resulting in the arrest of dozens of youths under the accusation of being involved in resistance acts. On this Tuesday morning, more than 16 Palestinian citizens from Hebron, Al-Quds, Ramallah, Tulkarm, and Bethlehem were arrested; most prominently, the Hamas leader Sheikh Hassan Yousif.

The Israeli occupation justifies its arbitrary campaigns of arrests and break-ins by that it seeks to confront the efforts of the Palestinian factions in general, and Hamas in specific to rebuild its organizational structure, reconstruct its infrastructure in the West Bank, and then implement heroic operations against the settlers in West Bank and the occupied territories. Thus, the Israeli press considered that the individual operations that were implemented in Al-Quds recently are a result of Hamas' efforts to escalate, re-clash with the Israeli occupation, and to develop and widen this path to be more effective.

Within the same context, the Palestinian Security Services arrested a higher number of Palestinian activists in the West Bank at a time that marks the 34^th anniversary of Hamas. Moreover, they also chased the celebrations held to welcome the released prisoners, who belong to Hamas.  

The Palestinians reject the repressive practices of the Israeli occupation and the Palestinian Authority, headed by Mahmoud Abbas. Therefore, the Israeli occupation fears that the individual operations, implemented in Al-Quds recently, expand to include the rest of the cities of the West Bank and the occupied territories.

• The state of cooperation and security coordination between the Palestinian Authority and the occupation affects the Palestinian resistance in the West Bank; yet, they cannot control it as it is ongoing and incapable of resolution.
• The Israeli occupation fears the growing power of the Palestinian resistance in the West Bank as it is in Gaza, threatening its existence.
• Through its arbitrary measures and use of excessive force that result in dozens of martyrs, causalities, and prisoners, the Israeli occupation seeks to strengthen a deterrent policy against the Palestinians in the West Bank to stop their path of national work.

Based on the abovementioned analysis, the expected scenarios can be as follows:

1. The cooperation between the Israeli occupation and the Palestinian Authority in the military and security fields might continue against any attempts exerted to build a structure for the resistance work in the West Bank. Also, they might continue to cooperate in arresting and punishing any Palestinian taking this path of resistance. What supports this scenario is the Palestinian society's ongoing desire to confront the Israeli occupation despite the damaged infrastructure of the Palestinian resistance.
2. The Israeli occupation might fail to control the Palestinian resistance in the West Bank and its growing power, affecting the deterrent balances in the West Bank. This scenario is supported by the state of tension among the Palestinian people and the possibility for a big coup that turns the situation in favor of the resistance in the West Bank. 

Generally, the first scenario is more likely to be present nowadays and in the coming days. This scenario is strengthened by the occupation's realization of the resistance's growing power in the West Bank; which has a strategic position, the state of closeness between the cities and settlements; which is the basis of the Israeli demography, and the cooperation between the Palestinian Security Services and the Israeli occupation in the security and military fields; which restrains any acts of resistance.
