The charities in the Gaza Strip implored for help from the world in light of the Coronavirus crisis. This came in a conference held by Ihab Al-Ghussein, Secretary of Charity Societies in the Gaza Strip, and Abdel-Men'im Lubbad, Head of the Medical Sector. They stated that the complete-closure measures taken by the government to face the Coronavirus doubled the economic crisis, which has been going for more than 14 years since the occupation imposed the siege on the Gaza Strip. The unemployment rate exceeded 50%, and the poverty 53%. 65% of the people suffer from food insecurity, and 83% need regular food support.
