As a part of their violations against the villages and cities of the West Bank, the Israeli occupation forces broke into Jenin on Tuesday morning, killing two Palestinians and injuring another. However, they claimed that they were shot by Palestinian resistance fighters.

The Palestinian resistance factions announced that the two Palestinians who were martyred during this operation belong to the Islamic Jehad Movement. On the other side, the Israeli occupation announced that the Palestinian cells that were targeted aimed to implement military operations against the occupation soldiers and settlers and that they shot fire at them. 

The assassination that was carried out on that morning was precedented by a series of killings and arrests practiced by the Israeli occupation during the last month. The most prominent of which was the assassination of three resistance fighters in the heart of Nablus; in the area that lies under the security and administrative supervision of the Palestinian Authority. Through such operations, the Israeli occupation aims to frustrate any military acts in the West Bank and dominate any attempts seeking to confront it.

• The resistance activity in the West Bank is a sustainable state. What supports this scenario is the ongoing efforts practiced by the military and security services, and the big coordination between the Palestinian Authority and the Israeli occupation.

2. The Israeli occupation might fail to control the Palestinian resistance in the West Bank, and its power continuously grow, leading to a considerable imbalance in the scales of deterrence and control in the West Bank. this scenario is supported by the Palestinian resistance's insistence on rebuilding and empowering its capabilities to confront the Israeli occupation.

In general, the first scenario is more present nowadays and the next period. This can be supported if the Israeli occupation realized the difference that can be made by the development of the resistance's power in the West Bank, especially amid its strategic location, the state of overlap with between the cities and settlements; which forms the demography of the Israeli occupation, and the serious integration in the security and intelligence work between the Israeli security forces and the Palestinian Authority, led by Abbas.
