The Scientific Committee held the first meeting of the Ministry of Women's Affairs' conference, which is expected to be held in May, in the presence of Amira Haroun, assistant undersecretary of the Ministry, as a part of the Ministry's activities for International Women's Day.

The conference, funded by Cinta Gaza Malaysia and supervised by PALM Strategic, aims to promote scientific research on women's affairs, and attracts working papers that shed light on the role of women and their societal contributions, in addition to their participation in various political and development fields. It also presents scientific proposals for the problems that women suffer from.

The Scientific Committee was formed by Dr. Nihad Sheikh Khalil; chairman, and the membership of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Amour, Prof. Jihad Al-Arja, Dr. Sami Al-Astal, Prof. Khitam Al-Wasifi, Dr. Khitam Al-Sahar, Dr. Somaya Saimeh, D. Suhair Ammar, Dr. Wael Al-Manama, and Dr. Raja Abu Mazyad.
