The Gaza Ministry of Health announced that children, women, and the elderly make up over 55% of the total number of martyrs, in clear evidence of the direct targeting of civilians.

The ministry reported that the death toll from Israel’s ongoing assault on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has exceeded 60,034 martyrs, including 18,592 children and 9,782 women.

It added that hundreds of bodies remain trapped under the rubble or in areas inaccessible due to continued bombardment, the targeting of ambulance and civil defense crews, and the ongoing medical and humanitarian blockade.
