On Friday evening, 27 May, the 15-year-old Zaid Mohammed Ghunaim, from the town of Khader, south of Bethlehem, was shot dead by the Israeli occupation forces. This author in this article quotes eyewitnesses who reported that the boy did not participate in confrontations with the occupation forces.

According to the author, in the minutes preceding the shooting there were confrontations between the occupation forces and some of the boys, in which tear gas was fired, while the boys threw stones at the military barrier.

According to Mohammed Ghunaim's family and eyewitnesses' statements, Muhammad was on the way to his grandmother's house in the village of Khader when he was shot in the back 150 meters away.

When he passed near the soldiers, he was shot in the back, 150 meters away from the house where his mother and sister waited, without doing anything against the soldiers.

After he was injured, he fled and hid in a nearby house, where he received first aid from residents of the house and soldiers. He was then taken to hospital by the Red Crescent, where he was reported dead.

The author adds that his family is traumatized, deeply saddened by his parting, and that his sister Saja's marriage, scheduled for Friday, was postponed because of this tragedy.
