The Israeli occupying forces launched a large-scale arrest campaign in the town of Silwad, east of Ramallah, in the centre of the occupied West Bank, affecting more than 40 Palestinian citizens.
Dozens of military patrols stormed the town, raided and searched houses, investigated their owners, reinforced their presence on their entrances, and encircled the town from all directions.
Clashes broke out between dozens of young men and occupation forces in the town's districts, during which soldiers fired bullets and poisonous gas bombs.
