The Israeli journalist Gideon Levy, in an interview with Al Jazeera, criticised the severe blockade imposed by the Israeli occupation on the Gaza Strip for 16 years. 

“The Israeli audience is brain-washed and does know but the least about what is going on,” Channel 12 quoted Levy.
