A ceasefire agreement has been reached in Gaza Strip, with an Egyptian mediation, between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli Occupation, bringing the three-day escalating Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip to an end.
Egypt, as the sponsor of this truce, is committed to working to release the prisoner Bassam Al-Saadi from the prisons of the Israeli occupation, and the hunger-striking prisoner Khalil Awawda and transfer him to treatment, as stated in the text of the agreement.
During the aggression, intensive contacts took place from Arab and foreign countries with both sides to contain the situation and end the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the death toll and injuries during the last aggression amounted to 41 martyrs, including 15 children, 4 women and an elderly woman, and 360 injuries of various severity.
During its aggression on Gaza, the Israeli occupation launched a series of raids in which prominent leaders of the Islamic Jihad movement were assassinated, including the commander of the Northern Brigade, Taysir al-Jabari, which led to a tense atmosphere and a round of escalation.
The Israeli occupation demolished dozens of inhabited homes and damaged hundreds of them, as well as targeting agricultural lands, which led to the destruction of their crops, and other targets in the Strip.
The Israeli occupation prevented fuel trucks from entering to the power station in Gaza, which made it difficult to work in hospitals, in addition to preventing the entry of necessary medical supplies into the Strip.
Arab and foreign countries and human rights institutions condemned the Israeli aggression on Gaza, calling on the international community to pressure the Israeli occupation to take responsibility for its aggression on Gaza, the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
Demonstrations also took place in some Arab countries in solidarity with Gaza and rejecting the aggression against it. Dozens of Palestinians in the West Bank and the occupied Palestinian territories participated in marches and solidarity stands, during which they raised banners rejecting the Israeli occupation’s aggression on Gaza.
