The five children who martyred in Jabalia in the last day of "The Breaking Dawn" operation, were injured by an airstrike attack, according to security sources. This contradicts the first assessment of the army, which attributed their martyrdom to a failed Islamic Jihad rocket. However, the investigation in the accident, revealed that they are victims to the Israeli operation in the Strip.

ameel Jamal Ad-Din Nejim (3), Jameel Ehab Nejim (13), Nathmi Abu-Karsh (15), Mohammed and Hamed Nejim (16) were martyred on August 7, in an airstrike bombing near Al-Fallujah cemetery east Jabalia. According to military investigation, the Jihad did not launch any rocket at that time and the air force attacked targets at the same place that time.

The occupation army decided not to address the attack publicly nor did they publish any documentation in this regard. Officials said that this crime is like to Jabaliya massacre that took place on 6 August 2022 in Jabaliya camp for refugees, during which 8 Palestinians were martyred including children. It was said at that time that the children were killed in an Israeli attack, yet the army rushed to refute those claims and claimed that they were killed by a failed lunch of rockets by Jihad. They also posted a video showing the firing of rockets by the Jihad and referred to the rocket by a red circle. They did all of that just to prove the Jihad's responsibility for the killing of the innocent children.

During the three-day attack on the strip, 49 Palestinian were martyred, including 17 children and 4 women. The Islamic Jihad announced the martyrdom of 12 of its forces, including two leaders who were the main target of the Israeli occupation. The Ministry of Health also reported that 360 Palestinians were injured, including 150 children, 59 women, 130 men and above 60-year-old elderlies.
