Israeli Deal and Iranian Nuclear Agreement

Situation Report by PALM Strategic

The Israeli occupation government made a deal with the Boeing Company to buy four Boeing KC-46 refueling planes for about a milliard dollar, after the US administration approved the deal made last year to provide the Israeli occupation with aircrafts of the same type mentioned above from the American military aid funds specialized for the occupation. This, hence, crowns two years of negotiations between the US administration and the Israeli occupation, as the Israeli army becomes the third to have such a technique after the United States of American and Japan.

The deal announcement comes in light of the increasing efforts that aim to revive the nuclear agreement between the Great Powers and Iran. With opinions differing on the approach of such an agreement, facts indicate a serious development in the conversations and that the gap between the Iranian demands and the Great Powers' ones are narrowing down, as expressed by the negotiation parties lately.

In parallel with the aforementioned, the political and military leaders of the Israeli occupation confirm their rejection of any agreement that includes Iran within the international organization, along with calls not to tolerate it in international visits and conferences. This has appeared in the speech given by Isaac Herzog during his visit to Germany, as well as the statements delivered by Benny Gantz during his visit to the United States and PM Yair Lapid during his last conversation with Biden.

Analysis and Reading of the Scene
-The American approval to implement a refueling planes deal in favor of the Israeli occupation is a primitive step to satisfy it in case a deal was made with Iran. This method was also adopted by the US to implement an F-35 planes deal following the 2015 nuclear agreement.
-The American administration constantly confirms its absolute commitment to the occupation's security, and that any agreement with Iran or any other parties in the region will be at the expense of the Israeli occupation. This was assured by US President Biden regarding that "Washington will not handcuff Israel nor will it prevent it from fighting Iran."
-The Israeli occupation exerts exceptional efforts to possess military techniques and capabilities, enabling it to secure its vital area and strike Iran in case the decision was made. It also seeks to prove its military excellence in the Middle East region.

Possible Scenarios: based on the analysis and reading of the scene, it is expected that:
1.The Great Powers and Iran might reach an agreement that ends the current gap and establishes a new phase of Iran's inclusion in the international community and its elimination from terrorism lists. What supports this scenario is the continuous negotiation efforts, the approaching points of view, and the United States' concern about calming the situations in the Middle East and devoting its efforts to conflicts with Russia and China.

2.The negotiations might fail in a manner that the parties cannot reach the finishing line and sign the agreement. This scenario is supported by the deep impact exported by the occupation towards the international negotiation parties, and the continuous disputes on the agreement's details. This therefore is a failure that predicts starting an Israeli military operation against Iran.

3.The negotiation efforts might continue longer to treat the points of contention related to the agreement in order to sign it, but in the upcoming period.

Generally, the first scenario is logical and realistic in light of the continuous negotiations and the parties' concern about reaching an agreement that crowns this process. The American administration also seems aware that the friction state pervading the Middle East does not serve its policies nor its other strategies on the level of global issues.
