The Malaysian security services managed to dismantle a spy network belonging to the Israeli Mossad.

Malaysian newspapers quoted officials as saying that the Israeli Mossad has recruited a cell of at least 11 Malaysians to track Palestinian activists.

The officials said that the Mossad cell kidnapped a Palestinian expert in information technology from Gaza in the center of the capital Kuala Lumpur on the 28th of last month, and transferred him to a rural house in the capital suburbs before the Malaysian intelligence could reach the kidnappers within 24 hours, arrest them, and free the Palestinian hostage who left Malaysia a few days after the accident.

Well-informed Malaysian sources stressed that the investigations revealed the involvement of the Mossad cell in spying on important sites in the country, including airports, as well as its penetration of government electronic companies, and these sources did not rule out the presence of other active cells of the Mossad.
