The US Ambassador to the Israeli occupation entity, Thomas Nides, said his country would respond and combat any attempts by Benjamin Netanyahu's future occupation government to annex parts of the West Bank or the Aghwar area.

The US ambassador's statements came in response to those made by MK Yariv Levin of Likud, who said: "We were one step away from applying sovereignty in the West Bank, and I hope we will make fewer statements, and move more in actions and scientific steps towards annexation."

The annexation policy is part of the occupation's plans and colonial project to extend its full control over the Palestinian lands.
