According to the Prisoners and Ex-prisoners Commission, the prisoner Zakaria al-Zubaidi made an urgent request to the Israeli Prison Administration to donate his spinal cord to the sick prisoner of cancer Walid Daqaa.

The Prisoners Commission stated that the prisoner Daqaa had recently been transferred to the Israeli hospital "Brzlai", after a deterioration in his health, and had been found out that he suffers from blood cancer.

According to initial reports, it was found that he is in need of two blood units to undergo a marrow transplant later.
