Three Female Prisoners on Hunger Strike Because of  Detention Conditions

Dec 29, 2022 12:18 pm

The Prisoners and Ex-prisoners Affairs Commission stated that the prisoners Shoroq Doyat, Norhan Awwad, and Mayson Musa, had undergone an open hunger strike in protest against the repressive and arbitrary measures against them.

The commission stated that the prison administration deliberately restricts Palestinian women prisoners, especially in winter, where their rooms are rife with moisture and insects, and the lack of coverings and winter clothing

Female prisoners also complain of poor quality and quantity of food, medical neglect, poor medical follow-up, lack of laboratory examination, and the absence of gynecological medical staff.
