Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas announced the Palestinian Authority's intention to take legal action to respond to the Israeli occupation government and the incursion of its members into the Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa.
Speaking at the beginning of the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Liberation Organization at Ramallah headquarters in the central West Bank, Abbas said, "Following Ben Gvir’s invasion of Al-Aqsa, we headed to the Security Council. Hours later, the meeting of the Security Council will begin to discuss this issue, and we hope that those who used to give us a veto will not do so", referring to the United States of America.
"There are meetings of the International Action Commission, and its preparations for international action have begun. At the same time we will be moving locally and regionally to respond to the programme presented by Netanyahu's new government, which cannot be tolerated at all."
