Channel 12 said that Israeli National Security Minister Itmar Ben Gvir instructed the occupation police to prevent the raising of the Palestinian flag inside occupied Palestinian cities in 1948.

The channel explained that the move came a day after the Palestinian flag was raised in a demonstration against the Israeli government organized by the Left wing parties in Tel Aviv, and after it was raised at the reception  ceremonies of liberated prisoner Karim Younis
