The Minister of National Security of the Israeli Occupation Government, Itmar Ben-Gavir, during the weekly government meeting, said he would request the immediate evacuation of the village of the Red Khan east of occupied Al-Quds. He added, "I will not accept the evacuation and destruction of Jewish outposts, while Arabs continue to build illegally throughout the West Bank."

The village has been inhabited by 190 Palestinians since the early 1950s, after being abandoned by the occupation from the Negev area in 1948
