Congressman Brad Sherman warned that US support for Israel had been damaged because of the Netanyahu government's actions on the scheme to weaken the judiciary.

Speaking to the Israeli newspaper Ha 'artz, Sherman expressed intense concern at the actions of the Netanyahu government, which he says endangers US support for Israel.

He also warned against Benjamin's plan, Justice Minister Yarev Levin, the addition of extremist right party to the government and a change of attitude towards Palestinians that could harm Israeli interests, adding that "Israel needs the United States in the international forum
