The Deputy Director of African Affairs of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sharon Barley, and members of the Israeli delegation were expelled from the African Union Summit Hall in Addis Ababa, in which the occupation entity participated as an observer.

The security elements of the African Summit asked members of the Israeli delegation to leave the Hall, and Palestinian press sources stated that the expulsion of the Israeli delegation coincided with the presence of the Palestinian Prime Minister, D. Mohammed Shtayyeh, on the summit's opening podium to represent Palestine.
