Israel Today – Adapted
In the Islamic calendar, Ramadan, which begins this week, is regarded as a significant month. Nevertheless, in recent years, everyone in Israel has begun to prepare for it with anxiety and dread.
Islamic belief includes Ramadan fasting, which has no connection to jihad (fighting). It exudes spiritual vibes, mercy and blessings. Nonetheless, in recent years, this month has turned into a month of transgression. The "Sayf Al-Quds" operation began in Ramadan 2021 after Hamas fired missiles at the occupied Al-Quds. Moreover, resistance activity developed throughout several 1948 territories. We witnessed numerous acts of resistance throughout Ramadan in all of Palestine the previous year as well.
Some interpret the waves of resistance in Ramadan to be the religious fervor that intensifies during Ramadan. We believe that we play a part in creating these expectations, which turn into prophecies. As an example, they cite reports about the security forces' peak preparations for Ramadan and about the fear of operations that create weakness and foster fear vibes, in the Palestinian streets, which can then be exploited in carrying out Fedayeen operation.
It's important to stress that strong efforts from the security forces and preceded frustration for the Fedayeen operations, can calm the situation before we reach to escalation. Subsequently, it's prohibited for anyone to start any work that can lead to ignite the situation.
