Together with Yoav Gallant's dismissal as Israel's Minister of Defense by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the scope of the protests against the proposal to weaken the entity’s judiciary also grew.
At least 500 thousand demonstrators, according to Israeli media sources, flocked to the streets and shut down several of them to demonstrate their disapproval of Netanyahu's actions. Nonetheless, a large number of them gathered around Netanyahu's home and set fire to rubber tires.
Following Yoav Gallant's request for halting judaic adjustments—which the opposition party views as a coup and the government coalition sees as reforms—Netanyahu fired Yoav Gallant, the defense minister.
