Israeli sources: Aryeh Deri, the leader of the Shas political party, hosted in his house Yoav Gallant, the Minister of Defense, in order to reach a compromise to keep Gallant in his position after Netanyahu dismissed him, in response to the judicial amendments.

Gallant refuses to resign from the Knesset, but he may apologize for the way he surpassed the Prime Minister and publicly called for stopping the judicial amendments. However, his attitude toward the issue won't change. 

Netanyahu's inner circle supports Gallant staying in his office, in order to calm party members and the public, who either support or oppose the proposed judicial amendments.
