The General Directorate of Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip has appealed to the World Health Organization for urgent intervention to save lives in the territory by providing fuel for ambulances and first-response vehicles.

The Directorate stressed that every minute these vehicles remain out of service, amid the ongoing Israeli war, will worsen disasters and increase the number of martyrs and wounded.

With U.S. support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023 — involving killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement — ignoring all international appeals and International Court of Justice orders to halt these actions.
