Occupation Doubles Budget of Construction Monitoring

Apr 04, 2023 03:25 pm

Israeli occupation government intends to double the budget allocated to colonial settlers who monitor Palestinian construction in areas (C).

According to Haaretz, the Ministry of Settlements will allocate 40 million NIC to the local and regional settlement councils, instead of 20 allocated in the past, for this step, which contributes to the demolition of Palestinian homes.

The Ministry of Settlement anticipates that the cash allotted to settlers for drones and patrols to watch over Palestinian building in Area C will be doubled. In an effort to rid Area C of Palestinians and annex it to Israeli control, as it has recently asked settlers to report on Palestinian development projects.
