According to the Palestinian Prisoners Club and Al Dameer Association for Human Rights, 170 children are reportedly still being held in Israeli occupation prisons.
According to a report conducted by both associations, and released on the occasion of Palestinian Child's Day, there were more than 9,750 children arrested since 2015 up until the end of March this year. Since the beginning of this year, there have been more than 260 children arrested, and 170 children are still being held in Israeli occupation prisons.
The club, furthermore, emphasized that numerous prisoners who were detained as children and given lengthy prison sentences by the occupation have outgrown their period of childhood. Moreover, children are subjected to all forms of abuse and torture and are held in harsh detention conditions.
