Week 15: Renewal Protests Against Netanyahu Government

Apr 16, 2023 02:51 pm

For the 15th week in a row, the protests against Netanyahu’s government and its plan to undermine the judiciary system and Supreme Court continued.

Tens of thousands protested in Tel Aviv and many other towns and junctions, against Netanyahu’s government and the plan to weaken the judiciary, and undermine the Supreme Court. Thousands of others demonstrated in Haifa, and in front of the house of the Minister of Justice, Yariv Levin. Furthermore, the Israeli police announced the closure of many streets to traffic, coinciding with the protests.

These demonstrations today came in coincidence with the Moody’s Corporation’s announcement to reduce Israel's credit rating outlook from positive to stable. This is linked to the Netanyahu government's plan to weaken the judiciary and undermine the Supreme Court.
