The Israeli journal "The Times of Israel" reported that a number of modest steps had been taken by the occupation government to support the financially struggling Palestinian Authority.
According to a senior official in the National Security Council, the occupation government gave final approval for the expansion of the list of tax-exempt imports it handles on behalf of the Palestinian Authority. Moreover, lowering the fees it charges Ramallah for fuel transportation, and increasing the percentage of money it transfers to it from the fees it collects from visitors at the Allenby border crossing between the West Bank and Jordan.
Following persistent pressure from the Biden government and two regional summits between Israel and Palestine; Al-Aqaba Summit in Jordan and the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit in Egypt, the occupation is putting these restrictions into effect.
