Israel Today – Adapted
The American decision to move some of the ammunition stockpile it keeps in Israel to Ukraine wasn't new. It was made when the previous Israeli government was in power. Thus, it is unrelated to the current standoff between Washington and Al-Quds. The United States won't rush to restock its arsenal in Israel, though, given the American priority list for the world and Washington's displeasure with the Israeli government's policies.
Anyone can notice the chilly relationship between the White House and Prime Minister Netanyahu's office. One need not be an expert in Israeli-American relations to do so. According to some experts, if the United States worries about the future of Israeli democracy and the shared principles of the two sides, the continuous security cooperation between the two sides may be undermined.
According to the Abraham Accords, one of the main driving forces behind the rapprochement between Israel and other nations in the region was their desire to advance their interests in the United States. This can be fulfilled by extending goodwill to Israel, with the understanding that Israel would represent them in the White House on issues of importance to them.
But in the Middle East, people have begun to realize that the United States does not prioritize the region's interests. Therefore, Saudi Arabia recently decided to approach Iran in order to realize that the United States would not resolve their issues with Iran. Moreover, Israel is now afraid that even nations that openly approached it within the framework of the Abraham Accords will reverse course and move toward the east.
In Israel, people hold the belief that the United States will step in to help in an actual emergency. However, due to shifting priorities and the escalated tension between the two nations, the situation needs to be reevaluated. As a result, Israel will lessen its ties to the United States in order to stand strong on its own.
