Israeli Committee Plans to Establish New Outpost in Jabal Al-Mukaber

Next Monday, the Israeli occupation's Planning Committee will be debating a plan to erect a new settlement, which would significantly expand the "Nof Zion'' settlement in the town, on the Jabal Al-Mukaber landmass to the southeast of occupied Al-Quds. The settlement would include 100 settlement units and 275 hotel rooms.

The committee will discuss the idea of filing the complaints, the Israeli left-wing Ir Amim Association said in a statement. Moreover, the promotion of the "Nof Zion" settlement is being funded by the "Kilas" Investment Company, a foreign business company that is owned by Israelis.

The document further stated that "if the settlement plan is actually approved, it will transform (Nof Zion) from an isolated enclave for settlers in Jabal Al-Mukaber into a building extension adjacent to the neighboring settlement (Talpiot) to the east."
